No one is confronted with more situations that demoralize and create emotional, mental and spiritual burdens than today's first responders.
These burdens can affect the first responder's family, co-workers and even the community which they serve.
As trained and certified Public Safety Chaplains, we understand the unique environment that our first responders labor under, and with God's help and by God's grace we seek to provide guidance, comfort, advice and assistance when called upon.
In addition to providing pastoral care for the men and women who answer the emergency calls, we also respond to critical scenes to assist them as they deal with citizens in crisis, often taking part of the emotional burden from the responder on the scene.
As we assist on scenes that we are called to, we come in contact with citizens who are in the midst of a crisis. We are then able to provide emotional, physical and spiritual support to them.
Offering assistance to the public is not new in public safety chaplaincy....but it is rare. This assistance often relieves a considerable burden from the First Responders, builds goodwill between agencies and the public and ministers to the needs of people who are often facing the greatest crisis they have ever seen in their entire lifetime.
We provide further services to personnel and departments in the following ways:
